The Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, or more commonly known as Khoo Kongsi is a large Chinese clan association located to the southwest of George Town. First established in 1850, Khoo Kongsi consists of a clanhouse, an administrative building, an opera stage, and 62 terrace houses and shophouses. The clanhouse, known as Leong San Tong, features one of the most elaborate and richly ornamented architecture in Malaysia. |
